In recent years, we have received multiple awards for our achievements in brand excellence, sustainability, employer culture, and social engagement. Among other honors, we received the German Brand Award from 2016 to 2025 and were presented with the German Sustainability Award (DNP) in 2021 and 2026. We are delighted to have received the German Sustainability Award for the second time – in 2021 in the transformation field “Climate” and in 2026 as the industry winner in “Hydraulics, Pumps, Compressors.” These honors reaffirm our commitment to embedding sustainable thinking and action throughout all areas of our business.

As a pioneer in water technology, we actively drive sustainable transformation through innovative, energy-efficient solutions and digital technologies such as WATER AI. Receiving the DNP once again confirms we are on the right path and inspires us to further strengthen our commitment to environmental, social, and responsible corporate governance.

We are proud that our sustainability management has once again received the highest recognition: in 2025, Wilo was awarded the Platinum Rating by EcoVadis for the fourth consecutive time. After receiving Silver (2019 and 2020) and Gold (2021), this ongoing recognition underscores our consistent efforts in sustainability strategy, energy efficiency, and social responsibility.

The independent rating agency particularly highlights how we holistically integrate sustainability into our business processes, equally addressing environmental, social, and economic aspects. For us, the Platinum Rating is not only recognition of past achievements but also motivation to further strengthen our commitment to a sustainable future.

Through these continuous awards, it is clear that we are on the right path: we design innovative water technologies and solutions that are both ecologically efficient and socially responsible, setting new standards for sustainable business in our industry.

For our consistent commitment, we were included in the Europe’s Climate Leaders list by the Financial Times and Statista in 2024. This recognition particularly honors our success in reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions over the past five years and confirms that our actions make a measurable contribution to sustainable transformation.

This award is based on the institute’s research and is granted only to the best employers worldwide. As a “Top Employer 2025,” Wilo’s HR departments underwent the institute’s multi-stage certification process, which covers areas such as work environment, employer branding, performance, learning, values, sustainability, and more. Recognized as a “Top Employer” since 2008, Wilo helps employees realize their career goals through excellent working conditions in many ways.

The Wilo Group was recognized by the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) as an “Elite Sports-Friendly Company 2023.” We have long been committed to supporting professional athletes in their career development, offering opportunities even during their active sporting years. Together with the Wilo Foundation, we promote the connection between athletic excellence and professional growth under the motto “Empowering young people.”

For over a decade, Wilo has supported rowing – as main sponsor of Team Deutschland-Achter and supporter of the U23 youth program in Dortmund. Many athletes, including Olympic champion Richard Schmidt, take advantage of dual career opportunities at Wilo. The Wilo Group received the Corporate Health Award in the category “Large Enterprises / Mechanical Engineering.” The award honors its holistic corporate health management.

Oliver Hermes, President & Global CEO of the Wilo Group, emphasizes that occupational safety and health protection are central to the company’s culture and sustainability strategy. Georg Weber, Global CTO, highlights Wilo’s proactive approach to identifying and addressing health risks early. Andrea Arnold, Director of Corporate Health Management, points out that Wilo goes beyond legal requirements to promote both physical and mental health.

In 2026, the Health Cube, an innovative health center for employees worldwide, will open at the company’s headquarters in Dortmund.

Since 2016, the German Design Council has presented the prestigious German Brand Award – one of Germany’s most important honors for outstanding brand management and communication. Since the award’s inception, the Wilo Group has continuously been among the winners, writing an impressive success story.

Through diverse projects in communication, branding, and marketing, Wilo convinces the expert jury year after year. Creative campaigns, business and sustainability reports, and exceptional brand and marketing concepts have repeatedly received recognition.

For example, in 2021 Wilo won for its innovative workwear concept, and in 2023 for its interactive Factory Tours. For nine consecutive years, Wilo has received at least one of these coveted awards – in some years, several.

By winning the SDG Innovation Award, Wilo once again demonstrates that technological innovation and sustainability are inseparable. Only by shaping progress responsibly can we ensure a livable future for coming generations.

The Wilo Innovation Award is an annual company-wide competition that honors the most outstanding achievements and innovative ideas from Wilo employees worldwide. For over ten years, this award has recognized people within the Wilo Group who, through creativity, courage, and commitment, take new paths and actively contribute to the company’s progress.

The award honors colleagues who turn ideas into tangible innovations – whether through new products, pioneering technologies, efficient processes, or creative everyday solutions. The Wilo Innovation Award stands not only for excellence but also for the pioneering spirit and culture of innovation that define Wilo globally. At the center of every innovation are people – employees, customers, and partners alike.

Employees from all Wilo regions can nominate their projects for this special internal competition. Submissions are evaluated based on originality, clear added value, and improvement over existing solutions. The final selection of winners is made by the Wilo Executive Board.

With the Wilo Innovation Award, we create a platform to showcase inventive spirit, share inspiration, and shape Wilo’s future together.

As part of the international “Join the Ecolution” campaign, the Wilo Group presented the Wilo Ecolution Award for the first time in 2024. The award honors outstanding water management projects that set new standards for efficiency, operational reliability, and environmental friendliness.

At the award ceremony in 2024, held in the Networking Cube at the Wilopark in Dortmund, four winning projects from Switzerland, China, India, and the United Kingdom were recognized. They exemplify innovative solutions for managing water – one of the most vital resources of our time.
