AI Innovation Award: Wilo wins award for AI-integrated water management solution

Berlin. Wilo has been awarded the AI Innovation Award by KI Park e. V. The multinational water technology group has been recognised for “Wilo Speaking Waters”: As a component of the Wilo WATER AI platform, this AI solution will in future convert operating data from water management into predictive analyses and specific recommendations for operators. With this application, Wilo is facilitating predictive operation – and thus the transition to the AI era.

We are particularly proud to have received the AI Innovation Award for ‘Wilo Speaking Waters’: this AI solution clearly demonstrates that our strategy is working – and that we are integrating artificial intelligence into our products, systems and solutions in a targeted manner”, said Oliver Hermes, President & Global CEO of the Wilo Group, commenting on the award.
“Wilo Speaking Waters” is set to expand the Wilo WATER AI platform to include AI-powered decision intelligence: This solution continuously analyses system conditions, recognises patterns and identifies anomalies – such as leaks, pressure deviations or changes in quality – at an early stage. “This forms the basis for forecasts that support operators in their day-to-day work and in strategic decision-making. Wilo promotes sustainability in this way by strengthening the resilience of water and wastewater systems”, says Peter Glauner, CEO of Wilo Europe.
“Wilo Speaking Waters” was co-engineered with the AI specialist InstaDeep. The AI Innovation Award was presented by KI Park e. V. in Berlin. The innovation ecosystem brings together companies, start-ups and research institutions as well as representatives from society and politics with the aim of driving forward AI innovations “made in Germany and Europe”. Presented for the first time, the AI Innovation Award, recognises outstanding cross-sector projects, assessing entries in the categories of Innovation, Impact and Perspectives.
