Wilo Group continues to grow profitably and takes next strategic step in its corporate development

Wilo – shown here is the Group headquarters, the Wilopark in Dortmund – looks back on a successful 2025 financial year.

The technology group has increased EBITDA by 39% and consolidated net income by 240%

Dortmund. Wilo has had a successful financial year in 2025. With a currency-adjusted sales increase of 4.5%, the water technology group has continued its profitable growth trajectory. Total net sales rose to €1,918.7 million. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose as planned by 39% to €212 million. The EBITDA margin improved to 11.1%. As a result, consolidated net income rose by €45.8 million to €65 million. This corresponds to growth of nearly 240%. Cash flow from operating activities remained at a high level at €167.3 million. Free cash flow rose by more than 80% to €66.4 million.

“The key figures from 2025 clearly show that our bold entrepreneurial decisions and our long-term strategic alignment are proving effective”, says Oliver Hermes, President & Global CEO of the Wilo Group. “The consistent regionalisation of our organisational structure under our established region-for-region strategy, together with the associated transformation of the Group, have made us more efficient, closer to our customers and more resilient. This has created the optimal organisational framework within the Wilo Group to accelerate work on our overarching sustainability strategy.” In light of these successes, the Wilo CEO stated that the company is ready to take the next important step in its strategy.

“In the past year, we have defined Wilo’s strategic response to the digital and AI age. The WATER-AI strategy is built on three pillars: We integrate AI into our solutions, which in turn generates sustainable impact in the market. This also involves enabling the AI value chain. And, of course, we are embracing AI in our day-to-day work”, adds Hermes. “The next logical step is to merge the sustainability and WATER-AI strategies into the Group strategy ‘Pioneering WATER AI for You’. This merger reflects our belief that sustainability commitment must be considered in symbiosis with artificial intelligence. AI is arguably the most significant lever for sustainable development.”

The past financial year was successful for Wilo not only in terms of financial performance and strategic progress, but also in achieving sustainability milestones together. As a result, the water technology group was awarded the EcoVadis Platinum Medal for the fourth consecutive year (“Outstanding” in 2025 and 2026), received the German Sustainability Award for the second time, and was included in the A List of the renowned Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). In addition, in 2025 Wilo laid key foundations for the establishment of the Wilo Global WATER AI Academy in 2026 and the substantial expansion of Group-wide Global Health Management, which will reach a further milestone with the opening of the Health Cube health centre on 27 March 2026.
